About Liam

LITAS Aviation is run by Liam Leys, a CAA-authorised ROCC Examiner with experience across aerodrome operations, Air/Ground Communication Services and Flight Information Services. His career has included operational roles at Fenland, Shobdon, Blackbushe, Sywell and Turweston—across very different types and scales of GA operation.
Why “LITAS”?
Inspired by aviation’s past, engineering its future.
The LITAS name takes inspiration from the Low Intensity Two-Colour Approach Slope Indicator System: a simple visual approach aid historically used at UK aerodromes. Its purpose—clear, practical information when pilots need it—reflects the philosophy behind LITAS Aviation today.
